Here is my last facts and figures post for the week as the town figures are not updated over the weekend.
As you will see in the graph showing Friday figures from back in November through to today, the blue new cases line is flattening out and the orange cured cases line is rising. The biggest change since last week is the green cured cases line dropping dramatically.
I think it is fair to say that there is a difference of opinion on the re-opening of bars and restaurants for fear that it will result in an increase of new cases in a couple of weeks time.
Everyone has a choice to decide if they are going to use the bars or not and those decisions should be respected as no one is breaking the law. The rule of maximum of 4 people still applies and social distancing should be adhered to.
Let us hope that things continue in a similar fashion next week and that the rate per 100,000 population drops even lower and gets us towards the perimeters being opened.
