COVID update Thursday 28th October 2021

Today, the Junta de Andalucía website reports that in the last 24 hours there are zero new cases in the towns that I report on and 1 cured case in Mojácar. There are 20 new cases in the province of Almería and 30 cured cases.

Active case numbers are now Los Gallardos 0, Turre 3, Mojácar 4, Vera 9, Garrucha 3 and Bédar 1.

The incidence rate for the province of Almería for the last 14 days has decreased 61.3 yesterday to 58.7 today and the 7 day rate has also decreased from 29.3 yesterday to 24.2 today.

Today, the Junta de Andalucía website reports that in the last 24 hours there is just 1 new case in the towns that I report on; which for a second consecutive day is in Turre. 3 cured cases have been recorded with 1 each in Mojácar, Vera and Garrucha.

Active case numbers are now Los Gallardos 0, Turre 3, Mojácar 5, Vera 9, Garrucha 3 and Bédar 1.

The incidence rate for the province of Almería for the last 14 days has increased marginally from 61.1 yesterday to 61.3 today and the 7 day rate has decreased from 29.7 yesterday to 29.3 today.

Today, the Junta de Andalucía website reports that in the last 24 hours there are 2 new cases in the towns that I report on; with 1 each in Turre and Vera. 6 cured cases have been recorded with 2 in Vera and 4 in Garrucha.

Active case numbers are now Los Gallardos 0, Turre 2, Mojácar 6, Vera 10, Garrucha 4 and Bédar 1.

The incidence rate for the province of Almería for the last 14 days has increased from 57.7 yesterday to 61.1 today and the 7 day rate has also increased from 26.4 yesterday to 29.7 today.

The Junta de Andalucía are still not producing the graphic with hospitalizations, ICU etc. Their website reports that in the last 72 hours, in the towns that I report on, there 7 new cases, with 2 in Mojácar, 4 in Vera and 1 in Garrucha. There are 2 reported cured cases in Garrucha. Active case numbers are Los Gallardos 0, Turre 1, Mojácar 6, Vera 11, Garrucha 8 and Bédar 1. The incidence rate for the province of Almería for the last 14 days has decreased from 61.4 on Friday to 57.7 today and the 7 day rate has also decreased from 27.6 on Friday to 26.4 today. The Junta de Andalucía are still not producing the graphic with hospitalizations, ICU etc.

Their website reports that in the last 24 hours, in the towns that I report on, there 3 new cases, with 2 in Vera and 1 in Garrucha. There are no reported cured cases.

This week there have been 0 new cases in Los Gallardos, 1 in Turre, 3 in Mojácar, 5 in Vera, 2 in Garrucha and 1 in Bédar.

Active case numbers are Los Gallardos 0, Turre 1, Mojácar 4, Vera 7, Garrucha 9 and Bédar 1.

The incidence rate for the province of Almería for the last 14 days has increased by 0.1 since yesterday to 61.4 today and the 7 day rate has decreased marginally from 27.9 yesterday to 27.6 today.

It would appear that the Junta de Andalucía are no longer producing the graphic with hospitalizations, ICU etc. Their website reports that in the last 24 hours, in the towns that I report on, there 2 new cases, with 1 in Turre and 1 in Vera. There is 1 cured case in Vera. Active case numbers are Los Gallardos 0, Turre 1, Mojácar 4, Vera 5, Garrucha 8 and Bédar 1. The incidence rate for the province of Almería for the last 14 days has increased from 60.2 yesterday to 61.3 today and the 7 day rate has increased from 27.5 to 27.9. Stay safe everybody.

For a third day the Junta de Andalucía have not produced the graphic with hospitalizations, ICU etc. However, their website reports that in the last 24 hours, in the towns that I report on, there is just 1 new case in Vera. There are 4 cured cases, 1 in Mojácar and 3 in Vera. Active case numbers are Los Gallardos 0, Turre 0, Mojácar 4, Vera 6, Garrucha 8 and Bédar 0. The incidence rate for the province of Almería for the last 14 days has dropped from 60.2 yesterday to 59.1 today but the 7 day rate has increased from 26.8 to 27.5. Stay safe everybody.

There are 1 each in Mojácar and Garrucha and 2 in Vera. There are just 3 cured cases with them all being in Turre. COVID update Friday 15th October 2021

Today, the Junta de Andalucía website reports that in the last 24 hours, 7 new cases have been recorded in the towns that I report on with 1 each in Vera and Mojácar and 5 in Garrucha. 2 cured cases have been recorded with 1 each in Mojácar and Garrucha.

In the province of Almería there have been 48 new cases recorded and 61 cured.

This week there have been 10 new cases recorded, 1 in Mojácar, 2 in Vera and 7 in Garrucha. 22 cured cases have been recorded with 2 in Los Gallardos, 3 in Turre, 3 in Mojácar, 3 in Vera and 11 in Garrucha.
 
Active case numbers are now Los Gallardos 0, Turre 3, Mojácar 2, Vera 7, Garrucha 8 and Bédar 0.

Los Gallardos, Turre and Bédar are now with zero figures for cases recorded in the last 7 and 14 days.

Please remember the wearing of masks is still compulsory when in indoor public spaces and outside when a distance of 1.5m cannot be maintained.

COVID update Thursday 14th October 2021

Today, the Junta de Andalucía website reports that in the last 24 hours, in the towns that I report on, the only changes are 1 new case has been recorded in Vera and 2 cured in Turre. In the province of Almería there have been 29 new cases recorded and 65 cured. Sadly there has been another life lost which is the second this week with 1 being recorded on Monday. The last life lost prior to that was on 22nd September. Active case numbers are now Los Gallardos 0, Turre 3, Mojácar 2, Vera 6, Garrucha 4 and Bédar 0. As I shared earlier this morning, Levante-Alto Almanzora region remains just one of two regions still in Level 1 whilst the remainder of Analucía has been downgraded to Level 0. The wearing of masks is still compulsory when in indoor public spaces and outdoors when a distance of 1.5m cannot be maintained. Stay safe everybody.

COVID update Wednesday 13th October 2021

Following yesterday’s bank holiday, today the Junta de Andalucía website reports that in the last 48 hours only 2 new cases have been reported in the towns that I report on, both of which are in Garrucha.

9 cured cases have been reported, 1 each in Mojácar and Vera, 5 in Garrucha and 2 in Los Gallardos which means that Los Gallardos now has 0 active cases.

COVID update Monday 11th October 2021

There has not been an updated image posted today by the Junta de Andalucía, and I doubt that there will be any updates at all tomorrow with it being a national bank holiday. The Junta de Andalucía website has however reported that in the last 72 hours there are no new cases in any of the towns that I report on. There have been 9 cured cases with 1 each in Turre and Mojácar, 2 in Vera and 5 in Garrucha. Los Gallardos, Turre, Garrucha and Bédar have had 0 new cases in the last 7 days. There are no changes again today in Los Gallardos so we still have 2 active cases. In the last 7 days, in the towns that I report on, Mojácar and Garrucha have recorded 1 case each and Vera 5. 17 cured cases have been recorded with 1 in Turre, 11 in Vera and 5 in Vera. There have been no new cases recorded in Los Gallardos since Monday 27th September and we currently have 2 active cases.

Change on COVID updates

From today I shall no longer be doing my daily updates as the figures have significantly reduced and hopefully Almería and Levante-Alto Almanzora will soon be moving into level zero.

As was mentioned in a facebook post, the important figures are the numbers of people being hospitalised, in ICU and losing their lives.

Whilst I slightly disagree about the number of new cases being irrelevant, because I think it does highlight where the “hotspots” are and how towns are performing, I will be moving away from my usual format and instead sharing hospitalizations etc. However, these figures will be for the whole of Andalucía and not just Almería.

Sadly we end the week with the Junta de Andalucía website reporting that in the last 24 hours, 4 of the 6 towns I report on have recorded new cases. Los Gallardos and Mojácar have 1 each, Vera 2 and Garrucha 5. Vera has recorded 3 cured cases and Garrucha 4. The figures for Los Gallardos are now . . .
