COVID update 15-02-2021

The Monday figures on the Junta de Andalucía website read a lot better than they did last week. The figures represent the last 72 hours and some of today's changes are smaller than we have sometimes seen on a daily basis. The positives are that all of the rates of cases per 100.000 population in the last 14 days have dropped. Almería as a whole has dropped to 652.2, Los Gallardos and Turre are only 33.8 and 5 respectively keeping them in the over 1000 per 100.000 category and Mojácar has dropped under 1000 to 841. Bédar is very close to dropping below 500, which if it does, it could see their perimeter opened. New cases across the 6 towns I report on total 64 compared to 128 last Monday which is a decrease of 50%. In Los Gallardos there are 6, Turre 1, Mojácar 2, Vera 44, Garrucha 9 and Bédar 2. In the towns that I report on, the number of cured cases since Friday is just 4 compared to 103 last Monday which is a decrease of 96%. In Los Gallardos there is 1, Vera 1, Garrucha 1 and Bédar 1. As a result of today’s figures all of the active rates have increased and 1 more life has been taken in Vera. Here are the latest figures with Friday 12th February figures in (round brackets) and for comparison Monday 8th February in [square brackets]. Los Gallardos - Total number of cases 232 (226) [218], cured cases 169 (168) [132], active cases 59 (54) [83], deaths 4 (4) [3] and 1033.8 per 100.000 (1378.4) [1722.9]. Turre - Total number of cases 254 (253) [246], cured cases 149 (149) [141], active cases 102 (101) [103], deaths 3 (3) [2] and 1005 per 100.000 (1163.7) [1692.7]. Mojácar - Total number of cases 530 (528) [518], cured cases 296 (296) [270], active cases 222 (220) [236], deaths 12 (12) [12] and 841 per 100.000 (1106.5) [1622.9]. Vera - Total number of cases 1358 (1314) [1254], cured cases 940 (939) [804], active cases 400 (358) [236], deaths 18 (17) [14] and 1359.1 per 100.000 (1541.5) [1694.5]. Garrucha - Total number of cases 570 (561) [536], cured cases 354 (353) [314], active cases 212 (206) [219], deaths 4 (4) [3] and 1134.5 per 100.000 (1407.6) [1649.2]. Bédar - Total number of cases 28 (26) [22], cured cases 17 (16) [12], active cases 11 (10) [10], deaths 0 (0) [0] and 508.1 per 100.000 (609.8) [711.4].
