COVID update Wednesday 16th March 2022

Today, the Junta de Andalucía website reports that in the last 24 hours, in the towns that I report on, there are 4 new cases with 1 each in Los Gallardos, Mojácar, Vera and Bédar. There are 15 cured cases with 1 each in Los Gallardos, Turre, Mojácar and Vera and 11 in Garrucha. Los Gallardos (Yesterday’s figures in brackets) - Total number of cases 431 (430), cured cases 425 (424), deaths 6 (6), active cases 0 (0), 0 (0) per 100.000 in the last 14 days and 0 (0) in the last 7 days although the incidence rates should be reading 1 as there has been a new case recorded. Active case numbers are now Los Gallardos 0 (0), Turre 6 (7), Mojácar 32 (32), Vera 48 (48), Garrucha 36 (47) and Bédar 2 (1). In the province of Almería in the last 24 hours 198 (205) new cases have been recorded and 125 (353) cured cases. 1 (3) more life has been lost. The incidence rate for the province of Almería for the last 14 days has increased from 311.4 yesterday to 316.3 today but the 7 day rate has decreased from 133.8 yesterday to 120.3 today.
