COVID update Wednesday 4th August 2021
Today, the Junta de Andalucía website reports that in the last 24 hours and for the third day running, only Los Gallardos and Bédar have not recorded any new cases. Turre has recorded 1, Mojácar 2, Vera 3 and Garrucha 2; all of which are smaller increases than on previous days.
The figures for Los Gallardos are: Total number of cases 276, cured cases 270, cases recorded in the last 14 days 2, cases recorded in the last 7 days is down to 1, active cases 2, lives lost 4 and 68.9 per 100.000 in the last 14 days and 34.5 per 100.000 in the last 7 days.
227 new cases have been recorded in the Almería province in the last 24 hours compared to 543 yesterday and 299 last Wednesday which is a step in the right direction.
