COVID update Tuesday 17th August 2021

Due to the bank holiday yesterday there were no updates on the Junta de Andalucía website so today we are reporting on the last 96 hours in which (in the towns that I report on) only Bédar has not recorded any new cases. Los Gallardos have recorded 2, Turre and Mojácar 5 each, Vera 10 and Garrucha 9. The figures for Los Gallardos are: Total number of cases 291 Cured cases 270 Cases recorded in the last 14 days 15 Cases recorded in the last 7 days 3 Active cases 17 Lives lost 4 516.9 per 100.000 in the last 14 days 103.4 per 100.000 in the last 7 days 643 new cases have been recorded in the Almería province since Friday compared to 680 last Monday and 737 on Monday 2nd August. The total number of cases (with last week’s numbers in brackets) recorded in the province is now 66,484 (64,704) with 58,221 (56,891) cured, 868 (860) lives lost and 7,395 (6,953) active cases.
