COVID update 02-03-2021

Due to the Bank Holiday yesterday the Junta de Andalucía website was not updated. Therefore today’s figures cover the last 96 hours. They report that since Friday Almería has registered: 469 more new cases compared to 511 last Monday which is a decrease of 8%. 368 cured cases compared to 440 last Monday which is a decrease of 16%. 7 deaths compared to 6 last Monday which is an increase of 17%. The rate per 100.000 population has dropped to 267.9 where last Monday it was 384.5. Please remember that percentage changes are as a result of a four day update rather than a three day update. New cases across the six towns I report on total 21 compared to 39 last Monday which is a decrease of 46%. Turre has 3, Mojácar 4, Vera 6, Garrucha 7 and Bédar 1. Cured cases total 41 compared to 46 last Monday which is a decrease of 11%. Los Gallardos has 3, Turre 2, Mojácar 11, Vera 24, Garrucha 10 and Bédar 2. No new deaths have been recorded in the six towns. As a result of today’s figures the rate of cases per 100.000 in the last fourteen days in Los Gallardos is now 241.2. Turre and Mojácar’s rates have increased while Vera, Garrucha and Bédar’s have decreased. Only Vera now remains in the 500 to 1000 category.
