COVID update Friday 8th April 2022

With no update on the Junta de Andalucía website since Tuesday, today it reports that in the last 72 hours, in the towns that I report on, there are 7 new cases with 1 each in Los Gallardos and Bédar and 5 in Vera. There are 22 cured cases with 2 each in Los Gallardos and Mojácar, 8 in Vera and 10 in Garrucha. Los Gallardos (Tuesday’s figures in brackets) - Total number of cases 438 (437), cured cases 430 (428), deaths 6 (6), active cases 2 (3), 33.3 (66.6) per 100.000 in the last 14 days and 33.3 (0) in the last 7 days. Active case numbers are now Los Gallardos 2 (4), Turre 2 (2), Mojácar 2 (4), Vera 34 (37), Garrucha 12 (22) and Bédar 1 (0). In the province of Almería in the last 72 hours 424 (375) new cases have been recorded and 633 (646) cured cases. 3 (3) more lives have been lost. The incidence rate for the province of Almería for the last 14 days has decreased from 270.4 on Tuesday to 210.7 today but the 7 day rate has increased, from 80.8 on Tuesday to 84.7 today. Holy Week in Andalusia: Recommendations against Covid-19

GENERAL

Do not attend if you test positive for COVID-19

Always mask . . .

. . . in crowds, surgical masks in general better than hygienic, and FFP2 for people over 60 or vulnerable.

. . . when traveling, both on public transport and in a private vehicle with non-cohabitants.

. . . if there are mild symptoms compatible with Covid-19, in all areas (preferably FFP2), in this case avoiding crowds and contact with people.

Respect for capacity in restaurant and hotel establishments.

Maintain the rest of the general measures of good use of a masks, interpersonal distance, hand washing and hygiene.

With no update on the Junta de Andalucía website since Friday 1st April, today it reports that in the last 96 hours, in the towns that I report on, there are 6 new cases with 4 in Vera and 2 in Garrucha. There are 16 cured cases with 1 in Los Gallardos, 5 in Mojácar, 7 in Vera, 2 in Garrucha and 1 in Bédar. Los Gallardos (Friday’s figures in brackets) - Total number of cases 437 (437), cured cases 428 (427), deaths 6 (6), active cases 3 (4), 66.6 (99.9) per 100.000 in the last 14 days and 0 (0) in the last 7 days. Active case numbers are now Los Gallardos 3 (4), Turre 2 (2), Mojácar 4 (9), Vera 37 (40), Garrucha 22 (22) and Bédar 0 (1). In the province of Almería in the last 96 hours 375 (433) new cases have been recorded and 646 (844) cured cases. 3 (1) more lives have been lost. The incidence rate for the province of Almería for the last 14 days has decreased from 321.8 on Friday to 270.4 today and the 7 day rate has also decreased, from 101.5 on Friday to 80.8 today. With no update on the Junta de Andalucía website on Wednesday or Thursday, today it reports that in the last 72 hours, in the towns that I report on, there are 7 new cases with 1 each in Turre, Mojácar and Garrucha and 4 in Vera. There are 20 cured cases with 2 in Los Gallardos, 1 in Turre, 4 in Mojácar, 11 in Vera, 1 in Garrucha and 1 in Bédar. Los Gallardos (Tuesday’s figures in brackets) - Total number of cases 437 (437), cured cases 427 (425), deaths 6 (6), active cases 4 (6), 99.9 (166.5) per 100.000 in the last 14 days and 0 (66.6) in the last 7 days. Active case numbers are now Los Gallardos 4 (6), Turre 2 (2), Mojácar 9 (12), Vera 40 (47), Garrucha 22 (22) and Bédar 1 (2). In the province of Almería in the last 72 hours 433 (642) new cases have been recorded and 844 (224) cured cases. 1 (4) more life has been lost. The incidence rate for the province of Almería for the last 14 days has decreased from 349.3 on Tuesday to 321.8 today and the 7 day rate has also decreased, from 160.7 on Tuesday to 101.5 today.
