COVID update Thursday 14th October 2021

Today, the Junta de Andalucía website reports that in the last 24 hours, in the towns that I report on, the only changes are 1 new case has been recorded in Vera and 2 cured in Turre. In the province of Almería there have been 29 new cases recorded and 65 cured. Sadly there has been another life lost which is the second this week with 1 being recorded on Monday. The last life lost prior to that was on 22nd September. Active case numbers are now Los Gallardos 0, Turre 3, Mojácar 2, Vera 6, Garrucha 4 and Bédar 0. As I shared earlier this morning, Levante-Alto Almanzora region remains just one of two regions still in Level 1 whilst the remainder of Analucía has been downgraded to Level 0. The wearing of masks is still compulsory when in indoor public spaces and outdoors when a distance of 1.5m cannot be maintained. Stay safe everybody.
