COVID update 03-03-2021

The Junta de Andalucía website today reports in Almería 63 new cases, 315 cured cases and 10 deaths in the last 24 hours. The rate per 100.000 population has dropped from 267.9 to 250.6. Only 2 new cases have been reported in the six towns that I report on and they are both in Vera. 54 cured cases have been recorded across the six towns. Los Gallardos has 4, Turre 4, Mojácar 9, Vera 30 and Garrucha 7. One more death have been recorded in Vera. Perhaps the most important figure for Los Gallardos today is the infection rate per 100.000 population recorded in the last 14 days and it has dropped from 241.2 yesterday to 172.3. We now have to wait for the committee to meet and confirm that our boundary can open and it will then be published in the BOJA. Vera has also dropped below 500 so they too should see their perimeter opened. Here are the latest figures with yesterday’s figures in (brackets). Los Gallardos - Total number of cases 243 (243), cured cases 217 (213), active cases 22 (26), deaths 4 (4) and 172.3 per 100.000 (241.2). Turre - Total number of cases 263 (263), cured cases 194 (190), active cases 66 (70), deaths 3 (3) and 238 per 100.000 (238). Mojácar - Total number of cases 539 (539), cured cases 376 (367), active cases 149 (158), deaths 14 (14) and 132.8 per 100.000 (132.8). Vera - Total number of cases 1461 (1459), cured cases 1256 (1226), active cases 185 (214), deaths 20 (19) and 429.5 per 100.000 (523.7). Garrucha - Total number of cases 617 (617), cured cases 470 (463), active cases 142 (149), deaths 5 (5) and 346.6 per 100.000 (409.7). Bédar - Total number of cases 29 (29), cured cases 26 (26), active cases 3 (3), deaths 0 (0) and 101.6 per 100.000 (101.6). Stay safe everybody.
