COVID update Monday 11th October 2021

There has not been an updated image posted today by the Junta de Andalucía, and I doubt that there will be any updates at all tomorrow with it being a national bank holiday. The Junta de Andalucía website has however reported that in the last 72 hours there are no new cases in any of the towns that I report on. There have been 9 cured cases with 1 each in Turre and Mojácar, 2 in Vera and 5 in Garrucha. Los Gallardos, Turre, Garrucha and Bédar have had 0 new cases in the last 7 days. Have a good week everybody and stay safe.

Change on COVID updates

From today I shall no longer be doing my daily updates as the figures have significantly reduced and hopefully Almería and Levante-Alto Almanzora will soon be moving into level zero.

As was mentioned in a facebook post, the important figures are the numbers of people being hospitalised, in ICU and losing their lives.

Whilst I slightly disagree about the number of new cases being irrelevant, because I think it does highlight where the “hotspots” are and how towns are performing, I will be moving away from my usual format and instead sharing hospitalizations etc. However, these figures will be for the whole of Andalucía and not just Almería.

Here is this data from the last few days.
