COVID update Friday 20th August 2021

Today, the Junta de Andalucía website reports that in the last 24 hours Los Gallardos, Garrucha and Bédar have not recorded any new cases. However, Turre has recorded 1 while Mojácar and Vera have 2 each. The figures for Los Gallardos are: Total number of cases 294 Cured cases 271 Cases recorded in the last 14 days 13 Cases recorded in the last 7 days 5 Active cases 19 Lives lost 4 448 per 100.000 in the last 14 days 172.3 per 100.000 in the last 7 days This week Los Gallardos has recorded 5 new cases compared to 8 last week, Turre 7 the same as last week, Mojácar 11 compared to 19, Vera 21 compared to 38, Garrucha 11 compared to 6 and Bédar 2 compared to 0. 186 new cases have been recorded in the Almería province in the last 24 hours compared to 187 yesterday and 256 last Friday. COVID update Thursday 19th August 2021

Today, the Junta de Andalucía website reports that in the last 24 hours (in the towns that I report on) only Turre has not recorded any new cases.

It says that Los Gallardos has recorded 1 new case however the incidence rates have not changed so I am not certain which figures are correct.

Mojácar has recorded 3, Vera 7, Garrucha 2 and Bédar 2.

The figures for Los Gallardos are:
Total number of cases 294 or possibly still 293
Cured cases 271 (1 up on yesterday)
Cases recorded in the last 14 days 17
Cases recorded in the last 7 days 5
Active cases 18 or 19
Lives lost 4
585.8 per 100.000 in the last 14 days
172.3 per 100.000 in the last 7 days

187 new cases have been recorded in the Almería province in the last 24 hours compared to 112 yesterday and 320 last Thursday.

112 new cases have been recorded in the Almería province in the last 24 hours compared to 643 yesterday (which was a 4 day update) and 229 last Wednesday.

COVID update Tuesday 17th August 2021

Due to the bank holiday yesterday there were no updates on the Junta de Andalucía website so today we are reporting on the last 96 hours in which (in the towns that I report on) only Bédar has not recorded any new cases. Los Gallardos have recorded 2, Turre and Mojácar 5 each, Vera 10 and Garrucha 9. The figures for Los Gallardos are: Total number of cases 291 Cured cases 270 Cases recorded in the last 14 days 15 Cases recorded in the last 7 days 3 Active cases 17 Lives lost 4 516.9 per 100.000 in the last 14 days 103.4 per 100.000 in the last 7 days 643 new cases have been recorded in the Almería province since Friday compared to 680 last Monday and 737 on Monday 2nd August. The total number of cases (with last week’s numbers in brackets) recorded in the province is now 66,484 (64,704) with 58,221 (56,891) cured, 868 (860) lives lost and 7,395 (6,953) active cases. The figures for Los Gallardos are: Total number of cases 289 Cured cases 270 Cases recorded in the last 14 days 13 Cases recorded in the last 7 days 8 Active cases 15 Lives lost 4 448 per 100.000 in the last 14 days 275.7 per 100.000 in the last 7 days The "ups and downs" of this week are that Los Gallardos has recorded 8 new cases compared to 5 last week, Turre 7 compared to 11, Mojácar 19 compared to 18, Vera 38 compared to 44, Garrucha 6 compared to 15 and Bédar 0 for a second week. Finally, on a positive note, 256 new cases have been recorded in the Almería province in the last 24 hours compared to 320 yesterday and 325 last Friday. Have a good weekend everybody and stay safe.
